Finding Hope

Robert and Wendy Knight were married on a sunny spring day in 1993. They planned for a long, happy future together, but little did they know, their journey would take a drastic detour. In 2008, Rob started to behave erratically and his life with Wendy deteriorated. He left the family and began living on the streets. A policeman found Rob and was able to get him a psych evaluation. 10 hospital visits and over six different facility stays later, the Knight’s came to the Alzheimer's and Memory Disorders Program at Barrow Neurological Institute. In just days, the expert doctors there gave them what no one else could in the 11 years since Rob started exhibiting symptoms: a diagnosis. Click here to read their story.
