Despite the challenges Muhammad Ali faced after a Parkinson's diagnosis, he remained resilient. An inspirational figure, Muhammad used his platform to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease worldwide. His enduring spirit and advocacy for the Parkinson's community left a lasting impact, creating a legacy beyond the boxing ring.
In 1997, Muhammad Ali founded the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. Muhammad and his wife, Lonnie Ali, shared a vision of building the greatest Parkinson's Center in the world to help those in need of it most. The Center offers comprehensive care and support services to patients and their families while researching new treatments for the disease.
In honor of 27 years of providing comprehensive care and support to patients and their families, please consider supporting the Muhammad Ali Parkinson's Center with a $27 donation that will fund new innovative treatments for the disease. Your gift to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center will be used to continue Muhammad's incredible legacy and ensure all patients with Parkinson's receive the care they need and deserve.
