By 2050, 12.7 million Americans will be affected by Alzheimer's.
The profound and devastating effects of dementia are something many of us know all too well. Watching a disease like Alzheimer’s slowly rob a loved one of their thoughts, memories, and personality until they are no longer recognizable is extremely difficult and painful. Currently, Alzheimer’s affects more than six million Americans. By 2050, that number is expected to nearly double to 12.6 million. While medications can temporarily help symptoms, ultimately, dementia is fatal.
The goal of Barrow Neurological Institute, is to change that narrative.
